in Mapping with ProFantasy's Software
i bought the Fantasy package and instaled on on 2 of my computers as i wass told i can . but here is my problem, i made some maps on my main PC, and when i copyed them, to my Laptop that i use, when i play Dungeons And Dragons with my Team ( like i am today in less then 7 hours all maps just show white with boxes with Red Cross all over. i use soem of my own png files but i copped them over also loaded in the symbol but still just white with red Cross plz if any can help me out plz contact me on skype or write here my skype name is Wolfrider80
i hope some here can help me out. and sorry for the bad spelling i am not that greath in writhing english

    Do you need the maps as CC3 map files? If you're in a hurry, you can always export them as JPGs or PNGs and use them like that.

    The red X means some items aren't installed on the laptop. Typically the bitmap fills.

    It means either you haven't installed all the software on your laptop, or you have added art on the original PC which is not present on the laptop, or is in a different location.
    Email Ralf@profantasy.com with an fcw file and we can tell you what's missing, or you can export them from the original PC as Fub suggests.

    1st thanks for the wery fast responce . if i save them as Jpg they are so Blured cant see much detail on it . tryed to save them many ways bedst i found out wass print as PDF file .

    Simon Rogers what and where is that Fcw file is that the map i createt and is it the original map you whant or the one with RED X on it all over ?

    You say you used your own PNG files but copied them over. The problem is that they need to be in exactly the same location as on the original computer. E.g. if you have them in C:\My Documents\My PNGs, they need to be in the same place on the laptop.

    If your JPGs are too blurry, you need to raise the size. Click the "Options" button in the "Save As JPG" dialog and set the dimension to something like 4000x4000 pixel.

    what i meen is i add the png files to symbols with the option like Joe Sweeney showed then i logged on my labtop moved the symbol file over it made and i can see the symbols ( png files ) but the map just show white wit hlot of red X on it . but i just took a new save as jpg and set to 4000x 4000 and it wass much better . just need to figure it all out i geus how it works . i may have to uninstall the program on both machines and then install it again so i put them the SAME Location if that is posible . but thanks for you help and thanks for the Greath support on this . thanks for all the ides

    No need to uninstall. Just place the pngs and jpgs in the same folder opn both computers.
