Henrie61 is the winner ! I have an offer for you

I have paid for my Unlimited Patron License. With comes with a drawing by Ralf of my fave map. Unfortunately, I don't have a fave map.

So, I have asked Simon and Ralf, and they told me I can give this away. By that I mean, if you have a fave CC3 map, and want Ralf to make a fantastic map from it, you need to read the rest of this post.

I am going to give you a chance to use this for your CC3 fave map. Note that Profantasy will use it for publicity purposes.

To win it, here is what you do. I'm going to contact Ralf with a number between one and one thousand. 1 through 1000

->Whisper it to me <-, and I'll then post who gets it.

If no one gets the number exactly, who ever comes closest gets this prize. In case of a tie, those who got it correct and tied another poster, I'll come up with another method.

Only this one prize, not redeamable for cash, etc.

PLEASE ! Only one entry per person, no extra accounts allowed. One forum account and one number per person.

My decision is final.

This will run until June 24, 2013. 4 PM CDT, or 1600 GMT -5.

Good Luck !

That's very generous of you, Jim. I'm surprised, based on your prolific mapping, that you don't have a favorite. Even so, it's incredibly big-hearted of you to give this away. Huzzah! to you, sir. Huzzah! I say.

  • Wow, this is incredibly nice of you. Thanks a bunch, JimP.

I'm just not sure I understand everything correctly. The number-guessing game is easy enough, but how is the actual mapping going to work? Do we pick a style and Ralf creates a fantastic map from his own ideas or do we pick a fantasy locale like Middle-Earth or whatnot and he creates his own version of it? In the first case I wouldn't know what to pick either and in the second case I'm not sure if that wouldn't run into copyright problems. The thread about the unlimited patron licenses just mentions "something from your campaign world". If it's just our own world that would be obviously okay, but a lot of us are playing in worlds we didn't create and something from, say, the Forgotten Realms or Discworld would probably be more useful for a larger number of people.

I guess I'm starting to ramble... In any case, thanks again for this gift to the community.
  • So Ralf will remake a map? Ok that sounds pretty good, he can re-do the worldmap I made a while ago, wouldn't cause any problems with copyright because I created it from scratch.

So I have to give a number?

    Thank for the generous offer.
And since i DO have a favorite map I would like to have drawn.
I will whisper you a number.
Just have to decide which one.
    The always fun one 666?
Or just in the middle 500?
Or the unlucky one 13 and its broters and sisters 113, 213, and so on.
Mayby just generate one in excel.
    Hmmm.

I don't have one at the moment, but I wanted to say "thank you" for giving this away; I'm sure the lucky winner will be extremely happy.
Also, thanks to ProFantasy for allowing this, especially Ralf who will be making the map.
Good luck to everyone who participates!
