How do I remove the white background in a round .PNG?
Hi guys.
I've just found out that importing my own images gives me a lot of room for customization, but now that I've created a round image in Paint and tried to insert it into CC3, I'm having difficulty with removing the white background, so I still get a square image when I attempt to use the symbol.
How do I remove the white from the image, so it displays correctly as a round image instead?
I don't expect this to be difficult, I'm just not familiar enough with the entire symbol drawing/importing sequence yet.

However, If you wish to do it in CC3, when you import an image as a symbol through Symbols -> Import PNG's, you have a button in this dialog titled "Bitmap Options". Click this to access transparency options. As long as you have an image without any built-in transparency, you wish to utilize the bottom two options, either by saying that all pixels that has the same color as the upper left pixel should be transparent, or that a specific color value should be transparent.
Note that if you wish to have multiple separate colors transparent, or want partial (alpha) transparency, you MUST do this from your image editor. Also note that if your images have been anti-aliased, which generally makes it look better, transparency becomes a real pain, and generally results in a light halo around the image (transparency should always be defined BEFORE anti-aliasing an image).
I looked into Paint.net and it was pretty simple to use, but I actually ended up doing it in CC3 since it's a lot easier when the entire catalog has the same properties that need adjusting.
