Object Scaling & Objects Changing

I'm making a map of a hellish landscape in order to 1: really learn how to use this software with hands on experiences, 2: because I want to learn how to make maps for campaigns involving conquest. I am having a problem with the objects I'm placing being scaled to small. I'm also having issues with the objects under structures and natural features changing styles and images from what I've already placed down. Any explanations? Advice?

Plz & thx?

When you mention objects, I assume you are referring to symbols here? If so, you can right-click in the map area before placing down the symbol to get to the symbol parameters dialog. Here you can set the desired scale. You can also visually resize the symbol before placing it by holding down CTRL and moving your mouse up/down. Finally, you can change the scale of already placed symbols by using the Scale command, found in the left toolbar set, assuming you are using full menus.

I am afraid I don't quite understand what you mean in your second question. Could you rephrase/elaborate?
  • Thanks, the first question is answered very well. The second one is I'll try to rephrase, I set up a map and started to place symbols, I closed that map when I was done for the moment and when I came back and tried to put more symbols on it I found the symbols I had were totally different then the ones I placed before. By different I mean the first Std City I used looked well detailed while the other was less so. I'd try to show you a picture of both but the problem seemed to resolve itself as I tinkered with a few of the settings, but I have no idea how I fixed it or how I made the issue in the first place.

Sounds like you were using a different symbol style the second time around. CC3 contains many styles, and you can switch between relevant styles by clicking "Symbol Style Toggle" in the left toolbars. Note that CC3 normally always sets the correct style when opening a map, so usually you can fix the problem by closing and restarting CC#, then click on one of the symbol catalog buttons.
  • Alright, I'll keep that and mind and hopefully not have the trouble again

    Thanks!
