Map Imported Map's grid to CC3 Grid

I'm trying hard to get back into CC#, but every step of the way is a mountain! :)

I want to recreate a map I have. I have inserted the map file into CC3. What is an easy way to match the grid of the inserted map with the CC3 grid. Whenever I scale the inserted file I only see an outline of the scaled image so I have no idea how close I am to the grid size until I let go of the image and let it scale.

I hope that makes some sense.

Use non-visual scale instead, and input the scale values by keyboard instead of trying to do it with the mouse.

First, use the distance tool to measure both the size of the CC3 grid (measure a single grid square), then measure the grid on the inserted image. The scale factor is equal to the length of the grid in CC3 divided by the length of the grid in the image, so if the length of the grid in CC3 is 10, and it is 5 in the image, you get 10/5 = 2
Now, right click the scale button on the toolbar, and select non-visual scale. Use this on the image. When it asks for the scale factor, enter the calculated value (you can even enter the calculation itself and let CC3 calculate it, so with the example numbers above, you can either enter 2, or you can enter 10/5). If you measured correctly, the grid sizes should now match. You'll probably need to move the image a little to have them match up position-wise, but remember that when you move the image, you can also input the coordinates on the keyboard instead of moving it with your mouse. Agaion, the distance tool is great for figuring out how much to move it.
