Red Xes in file downloaded from forum

Hi folks,

I opened the file that Jason Z attached to his Moathouse Refinished post but half of it shows up as the dreaded red-x placeholder. I have all of ProFantasy's products except for the WWII atlas and Dioramas, so I'd expect regular PF symbols to show up without a hitch. Can someone please tell me how to fix it.

And if someone could explain why it's wonky in the first place, that would be nice, too.

Thanks,
~Dogtag

I loaded the map and took a look in Symbol Manager. The red-x items I listed at random were
all CSUAC stuff (which I have, but not installed in the same place as Jason Z's). Perhaps the same is true
    for you.

Hm. I do have CSUAC, as well, but it's very possible I don't have it installed in the same place.

Thanks for pointing me to the Symbol Manager. I don't think I've ever used that before.

P.S. For those of you reading along at home image the Symbol Manager can be opened by clicking Symbols > Symbol Manager on the menu bar.

Red xs means you don't have them in the same path/folder the map maker has in their installation. When I moved to the computer I'm currently using, I had the same problem. Moved the symbols to the correct folder/path, no more red Xs.

@JimP - Yeah, thanks. I knew what they meant I was just surprised, since I have all of PF's mapping apps and all their symbol sets (except, admittedly, Modern). I even have CSUAC. I didn't realize the symbols were CSUAC, though, and I'm still not entirely clear how to determine their path.

In any event, I'm not in a big hurry to move the symbols on my computer. image
