Rivers keep disappearing?

I'm not sure what I did, but for some reason whenever I find rivers the rough version appears, but as soon as I click OK on select river length, the rivers disappear. I keep seeing a flash of a dialog before the Select River Length dialog closes, but it's too quick to see what it is. It was working just fine, so I'm confused as to what might have happened. I'll try restarting my notebook and see if that helps, otherwise I'm stumped.

  • Fixing a few spots of rainfall that was a few million inches per year for some weird reason fixed the river issue.

  • Not sure if you were using CC3 or not, but I just purchased the program and my rivers are disappearing as well. Since I don't see a railfall gage, I can only wonder if some effect is being applied, but I can not find it. Anyone know what would make a river show up fine over a contour in the mountains, but go to a low opacity making it almost invisiable over the main land area?

I'm pretty sure rivetgeek is using Fractal Terrain.

LordJR, off the top of my head, I would guess that your river was drawn on the same Sheet as the mountain contour. CC3 handles all objects on a single Sheet as one, and maybe that is making the effects apply differently to the river over the contour as opposed to the river over the rest of the land.

That's a guess though. If you're still having trouble, maybe start a new thread (so we don't completely threadjack rivergeek's)
