Any advice of making crumbling or broken walls in DD? This would be for a surface ruin, like an old temple or castle.

In the past, i've tried make wall sizes irregular (drawing fractilized polygons rather than "walls")...here's an example - http://forum.profantasy.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=3353&page=1#Item_21
I think my best results came from drawing a wall, applying edge fade inner, bevel, wall shadow, and displace effects (not necessarily in that order) and then drawing a polygon of rubble around the wall with an edge fade effect.
