When recently dealing with multipolys I've found nothing short of exploding the multipoly and edit it's elements. I however change the color after exploding, using a *non mapping* color, usually 7 or 8 for me. I use the *prior* (hit P) to achieve that easily. Then I move all the entities of said color on a new WORK sheet, hide all the other sheets and edit. Once finished it's easy to turn again into a multipoly because you select by color and you work on a single sheet. Change the fill style, move to the correct sheet and voilà!
I'd be glad to hear of an easier way, but you can't Node Edit a multipoly and with shaded polys, it's worse (I usually got a crash when trying to edit or just use a modifier on them).
BTW, the map is great and those dragons flying around very cool!
Thank you Joachim. It is an old map that I want to do some polish and that multipolys always pissed me off. I will see if I can do it following your suggestion.
Multipolys can only be edited after exploding, that's their big downside. Joachim's advice is good, I'd only add that I would use KEEP on the multipoly before exploding, so I have it's properties set as the current ones. That way, when I re-multipoly the edited entities, the multipoly will look correct right away again.

Where is the KEEP command? I cant find it on CC or in the Tome Of Ultimate Mapping.
From the help file : Extract Properties allows you to retrieve entity properties from a single entitiy and set those as the current properties. Click on the edge of the entity from which you wish to extract properties.
Examples using Extract Properties:
· If you have drawn a road with properties that you like you can select Extract Properties then the road to set suitable properties for future roads.
· Extract Properties is useful in conjunction with keys - just select a road, river, or other feature on a key and you’ll be ready to draw more.
· If you’ve dynamically reset the text height using SHIFT you can quickly change the default text height by selecting Extract Properties then the text.
· If you like a particular color or style, but you don’t know what it is, select Extract Properties then the entity with that property.
Text equivalent: KEEP
It's the icon looking like a blue drop counter, just above the Change Properties icon.
