dungeons, underground, cities?

Sorry if this was asked already, tried search and did not find it.
Can the base version of Campaign Cartographer 3 make dungeons, underground (caves extra), and cities or is it just overland maps only? I saw the upgrades and was not sure if they were just improvements or required to do non-overland. Even if it is just really basic stuff it would be fine, just can not afford a $99 bundle to do it all at the time.

Technically, CC3 can do any kinds of maps, but it doesn't come with pre-configured drawing tools, symbols and fills for anything but overland maps, which means you will need to do more work yourself, and you will probably need to search a bit around the internet to find symbols and fill styles for use in your maps.
However, if you are fine with rather simple vector-based maps, and don't need bitmap symbols and fills, it is rather easy to make drawing tools for whatever you need in the base CC3 package without having to look anywhere else.

CC3 does come with some basic dungeon tools, which includes a selection of drawing tools, symbols and fill styles. This is a subset of the features available in DD3. This allows you to easily make dungeons also without the DD3 add-on, the biggest limitation is probably that the amount of symbols included is limited compared to DD3.
  • if you add the community CSAUC art pack you'll be better equipped to do dungeon maps in the base CC3 tool. instructions can be found here:

llkjh if you install the Cartographer's Annual sample styles from this blog post: http://www.profantasy.com/rpgmaps/?p=2047, you get several styles (and tools) that can be used for creating dungeon maps for free. Including the excellent Jonathon Roberts dungeon style.
