Editing an existing Scale Bar

Hello everyone,
I bought CC3 a few years ago and was using it regularly. Due to time constraints, I let it sit for a while, and have recently begun trying to edit some old maps. One thing I cannot seem to figure out is how to edit an existing Scale Bar. I want to change the distance on it.
Can anyone inform me of how to do this?

    If it is a symbol with text attributes, simply use numeric edit [EDIT] on the text attributes (Remember to select the text by clicking on the baseline). This will allow you to change the value. The default CC3 scale bar is of this type. However, some scale bars have the numbers hard-coded into the symbol, and if this is the case, you need to edit the symbol itself (either by editing the symbol definition through the symbol manager, or by exploding the symbol reference in the map to reduce it to it's individual component parts)
