  Sorry Dargurd, I just get lots of red "x" symbols when I open that, so clearly missing the requisite bitmaps. Which style are you using? Maybe someone else can help.

  Its in the October style 13th age. But man the scale seems all messed up. I'm not sure how to fix it, but how did you do that grid?

  An approach I have used in the past for similar problems is :-
  
  1) make a backup copy before starting.....
  2) use "split" to cut the poly on either side of the offending bit of coastline
  3) use "list" to make sure the excised bit is now a separate path, then delete it
  4) draw a new path you like better
  5) use "combine paths" to join things back together

  I make many copies as I map. Save as filename01_001, make a few changes, save as filename01_002, etc. How many 'a few changes' might be is up to you.
  
  I tend to need to back up to an earlier version further back than undo can handle. Also, I may decide to go back 20 maps, and go off in another tangent.

  A bit off topic.
  
  @Moskva. When starting a map you have the option to add a grid.
  On the fourth? widow there is a check box "Grid Overlay", check that.
  And with the button "grid setting" you can define what kind of grid you want.
