digital hedges problem

I'm working on a map created with the CD3 Digital template provided by the Vintyri Project.
When drawing fields with the hedge drawing tool (which creates a 5 ft closed fractal poly) I often get
a horizontal line appearing across the field, example below. The only way I've found to get rid of these
is to undo and redraw from a different starting point. Choosing the "delete node" tool and clicking on
the offending line does nothing, sadly.

Anyone any idea what causes this or how to stop it happening?

Gah. Out of curiosity, does this always happen, or does it only happen for hedges of a certain size (large or small)?

Also, it's hard to tell, but it looks like your image shows the map border. Does this happen to hedges near the border? I'm wondering if it might have something to do with CC3's force-polys-at-the-border-to-adhere-to-the-border voodoo magic.

Hard to say from the image. If you post the map, I can take a closer look.

You might try to use Remove Nodes (REDN) on the entity to see whether that has any effect.

Armed with the knowlege that this isn't commonly seen behaviour, I poked at the problem a bit more.
As the draw tool seemed to be a straight copy of the equivalent CD3A Bitmap drawtool, and the only peculiar
thing about my map is the size (5280x5280), I created a new map of the same size using the C3A template
    and saw the same problem.

It doesn't happen every time, and is often only visible at certain zoom levels. It seems to be brought on by
a combination of the map size and the fill style (the tool uses the CD3A_Tree bitmap). I'll attach an example
containing a single poly. If you change the fill style to solid the rogue line disappears. Change it back to
    CD3A_Tree and the line reappears.

So I'll just make nice solid hedges from now on :)
