FT import
Hi again.
I was reading through Mike summers tutorial on how to import a map into FT and it says to hide all layers except for the Land Layer.
I cant find a Land Layer, is he referring to Relief/Contours layer, or again I am missing something?
I did the whole process considering the Land layer to be the relief one. And after I saved the image and opened into photoshop I couldnt select it with the wand cause I only had a black screen without anything else to select.
Can someone point what I am doing wrong?

No problem, I will figure it out.
Thanks
When I try to load the image into wilbur it crashes everytime. Tried with 3 different computers, and 2 of them with high specs.
Now I am stuck, dont have a clue on how to proceed to import a map into FT3.
Please advise me.
Thanks
Getting that image into Wilbur can be done lots of ways. The simplest is to load the black/white mask as a selection in Wilbur (Select>>Load Selection) and the use Filter>>Fill>>Set Value to set a constant height. Non-constant heights can be done in ways along the lines of http://www.ridgenet.net/~jslayton/FunWithWilburVol4/index.html or http://www.cartographersguild.com/mapping-challenge-archive/18120-march-april-2012-lite-challenge-entry-csu-johnsondales-new-found-lands.html (both work well; the second one is a more refined variant on the first).
Consider the technique shown at http://www.ridgenet.net/~jslayton/ThereandBackAgain/index.html for moving from Wilbur to FT. The MDR file format is better suited to such things.
Note that Wilbur and FT won't handle enormous files unless you're using the 64-bit versions.
I cant find a way to load the image into wilbur without crash.
I am running a win7-64 in a bootcamp.
