SI Units in CC3

Hello,
From what I've seen on the net, it looks like CC3 is mostly designed with miles and feet in mind. Can we use it with SI units (kilometres, metres) ? (I don't yet own the software, so my question my be a little stupid...)
I'm not overly afraid for overland mapping, since symbols are not to scale, I guess we can pretend that one map unit is 1 kilometre, not one mile, and nobody will ever be able to tell the difference. Am I right?
However, for detailed maps (CD3 or DD3), the symbols are to scale, and I'd like to avoid to have to resize them, especially since the ration for feet to meter would have to be mixed with a ration to make things smaller or larger.
Thank you,

The symbols size according to the length and width of the map, Imperial or Metric.
Symbols are handled by a overall, default symbol scale. For example a metric dungeon or city map will have a default symbol scale of 0.3048, automatically making the symbols (that are scaled to 1 unit = 1 foot by default) scale correctly in the map.
