WIP: new continent, cannot get a bay in there

I redraw an entire continent, fractalized it... and now I have problems putting bays into it.

Here is a small version of the map. It uses bitmap fills for everything, but I'll upload the cc3 file as a zip in the next post.

I would prefer not redoing the entire thing... if at all possible.

I did think of adding sheets and adding the bays that way. But I'm hoping for a better solution using the editing tools in CC3.

I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet - but i suspect that the new August Annual will provide a means by which you could "cut" into your land mass to create bays. Other than that, you could probably use the "explode" tool to break up your land mass, rework your lines to create bays, and then reform it with multipoly.

Let me know if either works...be good to know for future reference.

Jim - I'm not quite sure what your stabbing at here - but there are several geographic zones on your map that I have indicated with purple circles that technically can be defined as "Bays".
Are you saying that you want to physically modify the existing map to incorporate more - or that the map is somehow too small to indicate all of the existing ones?

Add bays not already in the map. The red circle being one. Add some bays on the right side of the largest landmass as well.

I have the new annual issue, but highly unlikely I'll be able to do anything before this weekend.

Hadn't thought of exploding the multipoly. It is highly fractalized. I don't know what effect/bearing that will have on the results.

I believe that when it comes to coastline, nothing beats handwriting. I took the liberty to play with your map and my tablet.
Is that what you wish ?

No folks, I have no idea why I didn't think of just drawing it over again on another sheet. Tireder than I realized, again.

Edit. Hmm...

I meant, I was thinking I didn't want to redraw from scratch. Drawing a new version on top, using the old as a guide, simply didn't occur to me.

You can edit any coastline by starting the Coast draw tool and pressing E to edit, then select a landmass. Select a start node, click to reshape, right click to finish, and select an end node.
