Hello

Assuming you are displaying the dungeon "players''" map on a pc monitor, is there a way to 'hide' those parts of the dungeon map the players haven't traversed yet?

The easiest way that I can think of is to export the map to a PNG OR JPG file and use a virtual table top to add the fog of war.

Maptools available from www.rptools.net is a good and FREE example. You simply add your map image file by adding the resource (watch the demo videos) and then you can apply fog of war etc.

You could also add a new layer and sheet, and add white or black squares over everything, deleting them as you go along. But using something like maptool, which is set up to do a fog of war, is probably the better option.
