Problem with roads and rivers

Hi I have been using CC3 off and on for some time. I have been drawing a map following the tutorial videos as a guide to refresh my memory I added some roads and rivers and then saved the map. Coming back to it today the roads and rivers now appear as white lines with the blue/brown colour and effects appearing either side of the line.

Any ideas?

Your frames toggle is turned on. (This makes editing splines (curved paths and smooth polys easier because you can see where the nodes are located.)

To turn them off select Tools>Drawing Aids and deselect Toggle Frames.
