Artificial map border

I've been working on a map in CC3 that has started acting strangely. When I try to draw a region (i.e. a landmass or a terrain region) the program won't let me draw above a location near the middle of the map. For some reason, it treats this spot as the upper limit of the map and causes the drawing tool to produce a straight (horizontal) line as though it has reached the edge of the map. The regions are being drawn within the map border . . . I even copied my drawing to a new file to be sure. Does anyone know what's going on? I've drawn regions above this "limit" before . . . on this map! Thanks.

  • Could you have a hidden map border ? CC3 uses the map border layer to determine map limits. Open the layer option. Click on Map Border layer so there is a check mark in the left column. Click on Hide All. This will hide all layers except the map border layer.

Look for more than one map border. Also do a list on the entire map, it will show you all items on the map border layer.
  • Thanks! I discovered I had another object on the map border layer. Apparently CC3 interpreted its lower edge as a map border. I moved it to a different layer and the drawing functions resumed their expected operation.
