My Next Free Font For You - A VERY Special Map Font Indeed!

Well - This next font that I'm making for you guys is a very special one - because it involves using actual 12th century letters - and not contrived stuff. I have taken a Public Domain specimen image of a twelth century alphabet - and I have updated it, tweaked it, and expanded it for use as a font. This is of particular interest to gamers who want to produce game props, modules, and stats sheets - because this font is going to allow you to create text resembling a medieval illuminated manuscript.
This is also very important for maps - because not only will it be great for place names - but also for map cartouche info and topical map notes. Here's a taster of the WIP:

There was no letter "W" or "J", and no currency or numbers. I had to borrow the numbers from another PD specimen image, and the other characters I had to piece together using pieces of existing characters for consistency. All in all - I think that you guys are going to be happy with it.
I'm working on this to get it right. You guys should be getting this shortly.
This one could turn out to be a real winner for desktop publishing and print publication work. I may actually expand this one even farther in the future using the dreaded and accursed Times New Roman or Ariel map layouts - which is like over a thousand characters probably. If I do - I'll be wearing Depends adult diapers and getting burped three times a day at the nursing home before I finish that one, lol
