Hi kids.
I Finally finished another free font for y'all Actually - it's two fonts - "Throrian Formal", and "Throrian Commonface", in Open Font and True Type Font flavors! OFL / SIL Licensed, so it's worry free and devoid of the pitfalls of dealing with ambulance chasers! Lol
This one I maxed out my basic, universal characters table on. I took a look a look at the Arial and Times New Roman tables - and I decided to stick with the default basic template because doing THAT many characters in one shot would drive me stark raving mad. I'm only mildly looney tunes right now so you can imagine how awful that would be, lol. Download is in the thread entry attatchment!

This next image is a final test sheet showing three different free fonts that I've done - two of which have been posted in the forums thus far - and one is free with Terraformer.
This basically shows you what I'm shooting for as far as developing these fonts, lol
The Throrian Typefaces are basically done. I need to expand both the "Mirkwood Chronicle" and "Roachian Futhark" fonts, and I have several more fonts that I drew up but never finished that I'll probably start digging out tonight. Also on the slate is my symbols project - which I'll be working on while doing this and that.
I would like to reiterate that if ANYONE wants to expand or refine these fonts into better modifications and redistribute them - the OFL / SIL License allows for that. These fonts are a pool of fonts for everybodie's use - so feel free to work on them and pass on the mods if you want to, you just can't use the same font names - and all derivatives have to fall under OFL / SIL also.
Thankfully the OFL / SIL license is a group / universal developement license - and NOT a copyleft nightmare like a CCL or GNU mess, lol. I guess it's "kinda / sorta / a tad bit like" an MIT license in a round about way - but a lot more open ended and flexible.
By the way, I'm in love with your frame! Where did you get it from?

Ok - to tell you the truth - I forgot, lol. I have about a hundred page sets that I get from sites that have old vintage stuff that's pre-"Sonny Bono", lol.
Here's a few links:

These are links to where I get a lot of public domain stuff to use as art elements, I also surf for anything pre-1927. I'm sure at least a couple of the links that I keep in my mental "little black book" has a few of the vintage page sets that I've collected. Here's the blank for the frame I used at full rez - righty clicky mickey!
P.S. - this is a pretty low rez image so here's something that I SHOULD HAVE done but didn't - snag and bag it from here - put it into inkscape and scale it up - and then re-export it / save as a Cairo .PNG file. I formatted a page in Open Office with this image selected as an image background as opposed to the solid color background option - but failed to rescale it first - which is why the border detailing looks as bad as a 1980s jpeg. It's from my PD stock files - so it's a grab it for anybody who wants it. Use it in Open Office after you scale it up as a solid page border / formatted page background and you can't go wrong.
I'm thinking about slapping some sepia burn on this puppy - but it really looks great in black and white anyway - so I'll probably leave it alone.
