There are two simple ways to go about this, follow either one of them:
1. Simply delete any entities on the MAP BORDER layer, then resize the background-polygon to your new size (Use the node edit commands to simply move three of the corner nodes). Draw a new map border on the MAP BORDER layer if you desire. Note that there might be a white polygon on the SCREEN sheet, going all the way around your map right outside the map border. If there is one, you will need to delete that too, or you will have a white "frame" in the middle of your map.
2. Create a new larger map, then copy the entities from your original map to the clipboard (Copy in the Edit menu), and paste them into the new larger map. Make sure you don't include the map border when you copy.
Another option is to use the STRETCH command - it's bit trickier to use, but can save a lot of steps and avoid having to delete stuff.
- make sure everything you need to resize is hidden and thawed (the layers). - activate grid and snap and know where your larger map will need to end both horizontally and vertically. - use the Stretch command and select all the entities you need to stretch. Right-lick, Do It. - draw a polygon around the corners of the border you want to move. - click one of the corners you want to move, then click the point where it should go (only do vertical/horizontal movement, nothing diagonal). - Repeat the whole process in the other direction (horizontal/vertical).
I found the "copy" command to be somehow bugged sometimes. I do not know why, but if I find myself with multiplicated entites (like 9 coincident lines pasted where ony one was copied). So, I go for the first option if I need to ;-)

I get this one a lot in my maps and since I have a sequence of overlapping maps I have found up to 9 copies of the same entity superimposed one over the other. Something that needs to be looking at.

I'll post here something more about the problem once I have the time.
