runes fonts or make my own ?

Are there rune fonts I can add to my computer to use on maps ? Or a font editor I can make my own ? I'm not sure i want to use ancient runis turned into a font as I want to assign my own meanings to them.

Years ago, on a 16-bit system, I could make fonts and use them for various things.

I want to do that on my Vista Home Premium 32-bit computer in CC3.

Any ideas ?

Jim - in the terraformer package I have included a font called "Roachian Futhark", you can also get it from my VERY OLD fonts page at:

It's OFL, so it's basically almost public domain (public domain lite?) - you can do anything that you want with it. I'm planning on refining and redeveloping / updating this font later.
I might clean up the hollow variant a bit and release it with a Tolkien style english lettering font or fonts packaged with my symbols later - A COMPLETE MAPPING KIT!
