2012 Annuals Question

So I haven't been here or mapping for a while. I saw the Feb and April editions for the annuals and it intrigued me. The Feb annual with Jonathan Roberts seems like it's a CD3 set? If I just have CC3 with Overland symbol set 1 could I still use that set? Or do I have to have CD3 set as well?

I assume you mean the March issue, since that is the Jonathan Roberts one.

Here is the relevant quote from the mapping guide for that issue:
This mapping guide assumes you own the City Designer 3 add-on, making use of its street and house commands. If you don't call CD3 your own, you can still use the issue, but you'll have to place buildings individually as symbols on the map.

Monsen, I finally got the 2012 annual. I have an issue. I cannot load Jonathan Roberts city symbol catalog. I get an "Chk Data DAV has no pending DRQ CA63" error when I try to load it when making a new template. I am using windows 7, not sure if that would cause this issue. Also says it cannot open or find STREETLOAD. Thanks for your help in advance.

This is the OnOpenMacro in the template that tries to run a few CD3 commands.

After starting a new map, simply click ok in these boxes to make them disappear. Then click the Map Notes image button, then edit the OnOpenMacro, and remove the two bottom lines (STREETLOAD and HOUSELOAD lines, these are CD3 spesific).
Finally, to always load the CA63 symbols when the map is loaded, add this line at the bottom (Make sure to not leave any blank lines in there, but do make sure there is a single newline after the last line)
    CATALOG #Symbols/Cities/CA63 Jon Roberts/CA63 All.FSC

Monsen, I apologize but I am quite confused. The blue box comes out and I see both lines. However, I cannot type there to delete them. I can only type in the bottom command line bar that is not the blue box where those lines are. I suppose the question is, how would I delete those lines if I cannot put a cursor inside the box to delete them?

If you see them in a blue box, you are only viewing the entry, not editing it. Select the map note, and click the Edit button in the dialog to edit it.

I think I got it to work. Thanks Monsen!
