Latest Annual Release (April Edition)

Hi All

Ive just installed the lastest Annual release and ive encountered a problem. Ive downloaded the software with no problems. It seems to install correctly with no problems but it doesnt appear in the menu option when i try to select a new map template. Any ideas ?

    I have the exactly same problem. Can't select the style in the menu :(

    Looks like a minor error in the installer.

    If you navigate to your #Templates\Overland Maps directory, then take all the files starting with "Annual Herwin Wielink" and move these files into the "wizard" subdirectory in the same location, they should appear in the new map wizard as they should.

    Ok ive just installed the latest upload and now ive lost most of my icons and the template (cosmographer -traveller subsector) that was on my screen is now all big red 'X's. Not great :-( I will leave trying to fix it for tonight and hope i can sort in the morning.

    This is an amazing style. Thanks.

    The PDF for the style says there is a terrain for mountain backgrounds but I don't see it in the Drawing Tools dialog. I have three Contour, Default (Land) tools, but they have no images shown in the dialog and, when used, they appear to be successively lighter shades, rather than the darker shades typically used for mountains.

    Are one of those the mountain background, or am I missing something?

    The should be a mountain background tool among the Terrain drawing tools, called "Terrain Default, Mountain Background". Do you see that? Turn off the "display sample" feature - there is a bug in the display that sometimes hide tools from the list if this option is activated.

    Okay, that was weird: I saved my map and then went on to play with a different map & style. When I re-opened my saved map I had all the different terrain drawing tools.

    So. Weird. Anyway, thank you for your advice Ralf. It wasn't necessary this time around but I'll try turning off the "display sample" if I ever run into this issue again.
