CC3 Weirdnesses and questions
1. How do you turn off that wretched Autosave dialogue? CC2 Pro it did autosaves in the background with no dialogue - I want the Autosave on, but I don't want the dialogue popping up every 5 minutes - and I want the interval at 5min.
2. Display Speed setting keep getting lost - I set them and save everything, but next time I open the drawing, one in a while they are still there, the rest of the time they have changed.
3. Redraw don't work correctly with things like Draw Offset and Trim to Entity - for the former, I can go through the process of drawing an offset but it deson't actually appear until I click once on the background (or indeed press Redraw) For the latter, if I have two lines at an angle not meeting, then I do T2E then it Redraws correctly. If I do a List on the line, it shows up as one enititly. When I repeat the command, I get a dotted line, just as though a second line has bedrawn - List still shows only 1 entity, and if I click Redraw, this second ghost line goes. If I've got the dotted line again, and I do a Erase of the line, the dotted line remains until I do a Redraw. I assume that I would not see these problems if the Redraw happened after each operation as it does in CC2 - how you switch Redraw On to redraw all the time? I tried the RDON command but that didn't make any difference.

2. As far as I know, several of these are "session only" settings, that are only used during your current CC3 session, then reset to default the next time you start CC3. As far as I know, all the check boxes are saved with the map, the memory cache is global, and the bitmap quality settings are for the current session.
3. Not sure on this one, but you generally don't want CC3 to redraw all the time. This is especially true when you work with effects on. (Granted, you should do most of your work with effects off, then turn them on in the end, but sometimes it is usefull to work with them on as well.)
As far as the Redraw is concerned, I don't use Effects (they are all off as far as I know) and I do want the thing to redraw each time - like above, if I do a Draw Offset, I want to see the result immediatley, I don't want to have to wiat until I manually do a Redraw - this wasn't a problem with CC2.
Interestingly, if I do things like draw a line, truncate it as above, the delete the results, a Redraw does occur after each operation - same with the T2E I mentioned above - so it should do one after Draw Offset, surely?
Thanks for the Autosave info - that has improved matters considerably
The Draw Offset not showing up directly is a niggle of mine too. It does display the results as soon as you finish the command though.
So does pressing the Refresh button count as being a new command (ie thus ending the Draw Offset command)? It REALLY niggling!!
No, only got one of each of the entities - I raised another discussion on this because I forgot I had this one
