Like a River to the Sea...
Ok, that title just seemed appropriate, for those of you that get it. Anyhow, my rivers are connected to the edges of my landmass (which means connected to the sea). However, on closer inspection, I see that I have a line with a flat end to the node, not really merging with the landmass edge (so that it looks like it is going into the sea). I've had the same issue with branches in my river not exactly merging with my main river. What is the trick to getting this to seemlessly merge without looking like bad construction paper art?
Comments
1. Make the coastline a wide line instead of a zero-width one, with the same color and fill style as the river.
2. Use the On modifier (F9) instead of Endpoint (F5) to attach the river to the coast.
3. Fine-tune the meeting of river and coast by zooming in closely and using Node edit to move the river end around a bit.
