EULA Clarification Needed

I am currently making a set of symbols for DD3, and will eventually get to making a set for CD3 as well. When complete, I plan to release them to the CC3 community as free for private and commercial use.

My question is this: Can I use ProFantasy's PNG fills and symbols within my symbols?

For example, in the fireplace symbol I'm currently working on (below) I have objects sitting on the mantel. Could I use objects from DD3, like the book or candle, to decorate my symbols? Could I use the DD3 fills as the textures in the object? I plan to create variations of each symbol and would like at least one of them to be somewhat compatible with the DD3 style.

As long as the textures aren't sufficiently large to be useable that's fine - I can't see it being a problem. This example is OK. I'd like to see the whole set before I give the OK, though if it's to be freely distributed because you are populating your symbols with our sub-symbols. One way to get round this (if it's required) is to submit it to us and we can simply add it to the registered users' area.
  • Thank you Simon. This answers my question perfectly.

I will submit anything containing ProFantasy art for your approval before releasing them. Also, if these symbols sets turn out to be at least reasonably professional looking, I may ask to have them released via the registered user area, just so that they do not get lost over time as so many other symbol collections have.

    Again, thank you!
