Inserting JPEGs into a Map

Hey guys, I want to insert some small JPEGs into an existing map. Can I do that or do I have to use .png's and/or bitmaps? If so, how do I do it?

Jpegs can't be inserted into CC3. You need to convert the graphics to PNG (preferred) or BMP.

Irfanview is a good free program to convert graphic files.
