Hello all, I'm still learning the software, so I have a pretty newbie question. How do you add a black border to your walls? What would be the best day to do this?
There's a lot of ways you could do it. The easiest in my opinion would be to add a Glow sheet effect to the WALLS sheet (or whatever sheet your walls are on) and set the color to black (RGB 0,0,0), set the Mode to Outside, and under Options give it a strength of 1 (or more - you can always go back in and raise or lower it and experiment), and a Blur Radius of 0 (none). Then activate sheets to see the effect.
Hello Jaerdaph, thanks for the help! That does look okay, but it doesn't quite give me the thicker outline I am looking for. What other options do I have?
You could just draw lines and paths (or boxes and polygons) around everything and set the line width to something greater than 0. If you are doing dungeon walls, 1' or 6" might work nicely. That will overlap the "inside" area of the wall though. If you don't want that, a third (and more complex) option would be to do multipoly "frames" around the walls - an inner black box/poly width 0 around the wall, an outer black box/poly width 0 offset some distance (like 1' or 6") from the inner box, then multipoly them together and change the fill style on the multipoly afterward to solid if it isn't already set to that (i.e. hollow).
