My Kingdom for a Solid Line

Okay, so, I have drawn a line, a simple, straight line to be used as an Equator on a map. But the program has decided said line will be a dash line. Regardless of what I try to do to change the line, it remains a dash line. I have tried to edit its properties every way I can think of and each option I explore tells me that the line is ALREADY straight and solid - and yet there it is... a dash line.

Before I throw my computer out the nearest window could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks :)

  • Click on the LS box at the top, that is the Line Style. I've had that happen to me many times before, and this is how I've been able to get rid of it.

    Hm, sounds a bit strange.

I assume you have used "Change Line Style" (right-click Change Properties button to access) on the offending line?
Is the line still dashed if you delete and redraw it, after having changed the current line style to solid as Kendall-DM describes above?
If you zoom closely, does the line still appear dashed? If you line has a width greater than zero, it may appear (irregularly) dashed at higher zoom levels. This would be an artifact of the screen display only and not appear in an export or print.

If all this doesn't help, please post the map here, so I can take a look at it.
