Okay, I really like the artwork in the CD3 bitmap groups. I like the way the buildings look and am really enjoying CD3. My question is, I haven't found a good grass background or road to match that style of artwork. It seems the roads especially are very jarring from the art of the buildings and vegetation that I am using. I am just overlooking some road textures somewhere? Which ones do you think go well with the default bitmap buildings?

Are you looking at the Bitmap A (CD3A) or Bitmap B (CD3B) style?

It is Bitmap B style I believe. The second buttom across the top.

I usually use the Bitmap A as background and roads, but when I put in houses I use the ones from Bitmap B. I think they fit better together (you can see one of my finished maps here http://mappingworlds.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/oddwood_done_02.jpg if you want to know how they look. Mind though that some effects have been applied in Photoshop). Give it a try and good luck.

Open the file CC3/System/Fill Styles/CD3 All Bitmaps.FCW in CC3 to see samples of all the available bitmaps in CD3. You can easily adjust a drawing tool to use a different bitmap fill by clicking Advanced > Properties from the tool selection dialog.
