Overhead View of a Waterfall
I'm getting ready to do a player handout; at one point, I want to show a waterfall at the end of a river that feeds into a lake. I know how to do the river and the lake, but I could use some suggestions on how to draw the fall itself, with an overhead birdseye view that makes it obvious that the water is "jumping" off of the river and into the lake, as well as something to show the fall hitting the lake (waves, or something similar).
The style will be really simple... it's going to be a parchment handout, and it's drawn by an NPC with very little skills in cartography, so it doesn't need to be photorealistic.
Thanks!

Depending on height , there could be a mist part way down.
If the water is clear, there will be water showing past the stone lip of the falls.
