Creating a custom fill
Hello,
I am having some trouble working out how to create a tile fill.
I know to do a BMP import command via the tools menu, and I've successfully done that part. However I haven't figured out how to use that fill now that its 'imported'. I've looked for guides and tutorials for a few days now with no luck.
Also I have the problem that I have imported and created a new style while playing around, and managed to link a group of symbols. The way I did it I understood that it would randomly pick which symbol to use every time I clicked (it has the R in the top right corner, and I can collapse or expand the group so I know they've been attached to each other) however it does not randomly place a tile, only the one I have selected at the moment. If I click the symbol again, it randomly picks which one is on my cursor but not when I add it to the map. Not sure what I am doing wrong
Thanks for any help!

If you wish to use the fill style in a drawing tool, you need to click 'Advanced' in the drawing tools window, and then edit an existing or create a new drawing tool, and set the drawing tool to use your new file style by accessing it's properties.
As for your second questions, a few comments that might help you fix this
- Have you collapsed the symbol collection. If you have expanded it (by clicking on the little +), it doesn't do random. You need to collapse the collection again and then select the symbol before it will do random again
- Did you actually try to place the symbol? A random collection always places the symbol shown at the cursor, then the symbol at the cursor is updated to a new symbol.
- Did you try to place a few symbols. If your collection is small, it is not unlikely that the random selection will select the exact same symbol again, so having the same symbol being selected a few times in a row is not that uncommon.
As for the second, I had 8 images, collapsed and placed around 100 of the symbols on the map and the only time they changed was when I went and reclicked the symbol. From what you've said it sounds like I did it correctly. Odd.
Thanks!!
