line with arrows perpendicular
i am trying to make a tectonic map of a world i created, and i am running into a snag when trying to duplicate the features i find on real world tectonic maps. this feature can also be found on weather forecasts for cold and warm fronts, it is the line (usually curved) with arrows or bubbles perpendicular to the line itself, whatever the line's orientation at the time.
this is an example of what i would like my map to look like, or at least the types of lines i would like to be able to include...
is this possible with cc3? do i need different symbol or art packs to make it happen?
thank you for your time.

I used the triangle symbol from the #Symbols\Maps\Other\Escarpment.FSC catalog as arrows. Remember, you can make symbols yourself, so you should be able to put whatever you want along the lines.
thanks so much for your help, and my volcanoes thank you too.

Before placing the symbol on the map, right click with the mouse pointer over the map. On the popup, de-select 'Smart Tracking', then click More.
Next, when you go to place the symbol, hold down the ctrl and shift key, and move the mouse pointer.
The symbol will rotate.
When you get it pointing the way you want, let go of the shift Ctrl keys, and click the left mouse button.
And if you are unfamiliar with the escarpment command, I suggest you have a look at it. It sure beats rotating multiple symbols by hand when you need them aligned to a line..
