Asian settings?
Hi,
I was wondering if CC3 and/or any of it's add ons offer material for asian settings. I am looking to run an Oriental Adventures campaign, and would need houses, pagodas, temples, castles, and outdoor terrain for both Chinese and Japanese settings. Some asian style props would be a bonus, but not totally necessary.
Thanks

Others around here would know more which software/add-on it came with.
Right now, I'm looking at picking up the "Fantasy Mapper" package which includes CC3, CD3, DD3, CAP, Dioramas, and SS 1&2. Still I'd like to have some more specific info before I drop 2 bills.....
And we were guessing that CSUAC had Asian Symbols.
CSUAC is Cecil Solomon's Ultimate Art Collection. Unfortunately, it disappeared years ago and Cecil's TOS states that no one is allowed to redistribute it. There is another art collection called SMAC but unfortunately it too has disappeared. The best resource for images now is the Dundjinni forums (dundjinni.com). Dundjinni is a dead project but the forums are still somewhat active and it's members release a great deal of artwork through the forums. It's also a great place to find links to other sources.
The only other add-ons that have a little Asian material in it are the Source Maps. Castles has a Japanese castle, Temples the Angkor Wat complex and Cities the Forbidden City in Beijing. All come with a small selection of symbols for those maps.
What Asian symbols are available for CC3 these days beside those noted by Ralf above? Are there any new developments in terms of the Annuals?
Search under CSUAC for the "Return of the CSUAC!" thread and another thread which talks about installation.
Cheers,
Miri

Do any of the annuals have overland map symbols?
The annuals are worth getting, I think. Even in with issues that I don't have any immediate need for, there's usually something — a technique, a turorial, a drawing tool — helpful in the issue. Sometimes, I don't need it until later but I'm glad I have it when I do. I've subscribed from the beginning and I don't have any regrets.

Be sure to look at the EULA of the models.
The site has lots of models, which are broken up into categories, and you need to click on each one to get to the page for that model that has download links for it at the bottom of the page.
If I remember correctly 2 of the download links were glitched on the site, but looking at the link address for the working links to that model I was able to figure out what the correct link was and download those models. If you run into download trouble just post the one your having trouble downloading and I'll see if I can get the link for you.
You could also get some 3D models for free at ShareCG.com or buy some from various sites.
Would love to see an annual covering Asian themed maps with some new symbols.
The Dundjinni forums has some renders of DAZ models that you could use which would work if you need characters for a map.
The CSUAC has an authorized download mirror at the Vintyri Project. Also, get the Vintyri Cartographic Collection files for CC3 when you visit the site.

Devin Night made some Japanese themed tokens and some Qin map objects.
His site is at:

If you contact him you can purchase the Quin map objects he made and buy and updated version of his Japanese themed tokens.
