Pasting On Different Sheet

I've been working with the Valedale walkthrough, and there is a point where he is telling me to take the hollow polygon I'm working on, to copy it, and to paste it onto a new sheet.

I copy what I want from the one sheet, get it onto the clipboard at 0,0 and then hide the previous sheet.

So now I set the new sheet, put it on the layer I want, and paste it to 0,0 again (I hit "Paste" enter in "0,0" and hit "Enter"), it must have pasted because if I click again it starts the pasting all over.

Now, it should be there but on the new layer, however, when I click to refresh, it is gone.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm not even exactly sure why I'm pasting a new polygon, it seems just to make it filled? It seems I could simply change the properties to be filled. Someone give me a hand?

I haven't read that tutorial, so I don't know why it needs you to copy the polygon, but usually this is beacuse you are going to use one as an outline, and the other as a solid fill. By placing them on different sheets, you can then also apply different effects to them.

Note however that the sheet is part of the items, so when you copy it to the clipboard and paste it back into the map, it will end up on the same sheet it originated on, leaving two copies on that sheet. To copy between sheets, use the "Copy To Sheet" command, found by right-clicking on the sheets and effects button.
