Adding labels and index on John Speed Overland map
I am really new to CC3, so if I have overlooked the obvious answer to my problem, please forgive me.
Here is the issue. I have created the map of a town in John Speed Overland. I want to label various structures and features on the map with numbers, with the names of those locations shown in a boxed index at the border, as illustrated in the examples on this site. Trouble is, I cannot figure out how to do this. Placing the number is no problem, of course. But the creation of the boxed index has me stumped.
I have seen in some of the posts that this is possible if you have the City Designer addon, which I do not have. Can I still make this happen without City Designer?

Just place the text strings wherever you want them, and use the regular drawing tools, like the box tool, to create a box for it.
