Running CC3 off of a USB stick

I have an odd situation in which for convenience I've installed CC3 and expansions CD3 DD3 and Cosmographer onto a USB stick so that I can use it on which ever computer I happen to be using at the time. The program runs fine for the most part, but it does not appear to be able to open the symbol catalogs for the expansions. Also the current selection of Symbols is appearing on the right hand side of the screen instead of on the left side like it had when it was installed directly on the computer.
I believe that there is likely registry entries required which I had not found.

Has anyone else tried running off of USB stick before? Any ideas what I may have missed with this?

Mark.

If I remember correctly, CC2 Pro and CC3 both do not self-register into the windows registry. What this means is that certain functions based on settings saved within the registry will not function correctly.

You could try installing CC3 on each computer you want to ultimately use it on, and specify the USB drive as the destination. This would ensure that all of the registry settings are created, and allow you to move the CC3 installation between those computers. There may be other solutions around, so doing a search might help as well.

CC3 is not really set up to be installed on and run from a removable drive (or network drive for that matter), sorry.
