I'm using CC2 (still, because in middle of huge project - might convert when done) and I have various maps (dungeons and such), each of which has grown it's own unique symbols, among common ones. What I need to do is copy a symbol from one drawing to another. Copy-paste between drawings doesn't work. I tried saving the symbols from the source drawing into a Catalog, then importing via Symbol Manager in target drawing. It appeared to add the symbols to the set, but when I tried to access them from the custom symbol sidebar, all that happened was that the symbol manager opened each time I clicked on one of the imported symbols - the previously existing symbols I could select and use as normal.

Anyone tell me how I should actually be doing it, please? Does the symbol manager have a merge command - can you merge symbol catalos, preferably without creating duplicates?
