Trying to download CD3 HiRes Bitmaps but it keeps timing out

Just wondering if there was another way I could download the hi res bitmaps. I keep starting the download and it keeps timing out around 75 to 80 %. I was wondering if there was another way I could download them.

    To be honest, i dont know a specific answer to your question.

    However, i can tell you that i had the same issue and after a couple of tries, i came back during a non-peak hour and was able to D/L the entire thing. It may be more system load than specific to the file, but i dont even pretend to know.

    You did not specify which browser you're using (and if you're using some kind of download manager/accelerator).
    I would suggest what I use most of the times (which worked for me when I had to download the CD3 High Res Bitmaps) is Firefox + DownThemAll.
    Of course it could also be an issue with the server, or what Micco40 pointed out (i.e. server load in peak hours).

    Try using a diffrent web browser program to do the download. IE tends to have timeouts if it is a large file. Firefox is better to use to avoid a time out, but the downloads may take a little longer.

    Jay and pool,

    I did the downloads in IE and i would not be surprised in the least if that was the trouble i was having. Haven't really ever liked IE, but i'm limited in what i feel comfortable using :-)

    If you have/want to stick to IE, then I'd say you use a download manager/accelerator. I haven't used IE in a while for big downloads, but I remember two download managers:
    Download Accelerator Plus
    Free Download Manager
