Symbol Question

I'm new to the program and I'm going to the tutorial and I've noticed that the symbols used in the tutorial sample maps I load are of a higher quality than sample map I'm creating. How to I access the higher quality symbols?

    I am guessing you are accessing the vector symbols instead of the raster symbols. Right click on the Symbol Style Toggle button image, and select Filled. This will change to the appropriate symbol style.

    If you are using the raster symbol, just getting a poor resolution, check the Display Speed Settings image
