Multiple Grids

I am new to CC3. I just bought the program for Christmas. I have only created a small island so far. I was wondering if there is a way to establish different grid sizes using different layers - that way I can hide/unhide various grids. I would like to be able to present the map without grid, and the a grid size appropriate for for various zoom levels. I want to creat a map of my World, but print portions of it at different scales with appropriate grid sizes. If I do a grid size for normal travel distance then I need a grid of 20 miles, but for a world that is 9,000 miles wide and 11,000 miles tall, it comes out all balck when trying to see the whole map. Yes - draw each grid on a different sheet (not layer), then hide whichever sheet(s) you wish to hide leaving the other showing. Most maps come with a GRID sheet, so you may have to add new sheets (GRID1 for example) for additional grids.

I did something like this to simulate graph paper. I drew a 1' grid on GRID, created a new sheet called GRID1 and drew a 5' grid on that sheet. Then I added a sheet effect on GRID - Transparency 25%.

Still having problems getting this one to work like I want. When I go to add a grid it goes to the default grid sheet automatically.

Yes, but you can easily move it to another sheet afterward, for example by using Change Properties

. Just remember to unfreeze the HEX/SQUARE GRID layer first.

I see said the blind man. I did not realize that I could move it once I created it. Cool!
