Anyone use Teraformer/FT Pro to create asteroids ? planetoids ? Minor planets ?

I think this would help create the inhabited minor planets, asteroids, that are possible in sf games.

has anyone worked on such yet ?

    Actually Jim you could do that. You could re-work a map exported from F.T.Pro into a texture for a non-sphereoid - or an oblate sphereoid form lke an asteroid or a planetoid.

    Hmm... thing is, I haven't the slightest idea on how to do it.

    I did create a FTPro map with plus minus 30 feet contours, but no idea what to do after that. Picture's depth reduced from 256 to 202 colors to reduce file size.

    Well - I'm just learning to U.V. map in wings - but you could try using the free version of U.V. Mapper. Also - if you have downloaded WINGS3D - then there should be a link on there for the User's Manual and also some Tutorial Links - look on those for info, if you can't find it - then I'll dig through my old documentation and see what I can come up with.

    For some reason I had to try several times to get the manual to download... probably my connection. For various reasons, some personal, I won't have time to learn new software until probably the 27th of this month. I have some vacation coming, but not this month. It looks like I'll be able to get it. I just don't have the time right now.
