Seas on top of land

Hello all,
I'm just getting started with CC3 and I've having a simple problem. I cannot seem to keep my inland sea on top of my basic landmass. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong. I've tried putting it on different sheets that should show up on top of the landmass, i've even chosen 'bring to front' on it but nothing works.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
John

Have you checked that your sea is on the sheet you expect it to be? Drawing tools change the sheet themselves, and ignore any sheet manually selected before using the tool. You may also wish to check that the landmass is on the correct sheet as well. (Use the Info -> List command)

Note that the "Bring to Front" on brings it to front on the current sheet, so if it is an issue with the wrong sheet, this command won't help you.
Also make sure to check your sheet order. Remember that entities on sheets at the bottom of the list is drawn on top of the entities further up the list.

That was it. It was drawing it on the sea sheet. Now, how do I get it to draw on another sheet. I thought I had found the correct option, but it's not working.

I guess I could just make it an exceptionally large lake.

Are you using the correct drawing tool? The Lake tool (River, Lake) should draw on the Rivers Sheet, not the sea sheet.

If you are not using this tool, there is two ways to handle this. One is to just draw the shape, then use "Move to Sheet" [MOVESHT] (or "Change Properties" [MPEDIT]) to move the entity to the correct sheet afterwards.
The other option is to make a new drawing tool that draws on the correct sheet. This is done by showing the drawing tool list, then click the advanced button, then select the tool you wish to use as a template, then click "New" to make a copy of this tool, then select the new tool you just made, then click the properties button and changer the sheet (and any other propertis you wish to change) for your new tool.
