FT: Limited portion export or higher resolution possible?

Is it possible to render and then export finer portions of an FT project? for example lets say I create a world but due to the maximum map size of 8k x 8k pixels or so each pixel at the equator is 5km across. is it possible to isolate areas os the map and zoom in further using FT or is 5km the finest resolution available?

Hmm. Seems like I remember doing this, but it's been a while, and I no longer have FT installed on this computer. Have you tried zooming in and just exporting the current view? Seems to me that was the gist of it.
