OT: Bad Weather Day - we dodged a big bullet!!!

Ok - well - had a REEEEEAAAALLLL scary Tuesday today kids...
Today - I believe thanks to diligent prayer - We (myself and the people in one of my old communities) missed taking a ride in a flying house to the jolly old land of OZ! The greater area was pelted with severe thunderstorms and several reported tornados - as a powerful, dense cold front - born from a massive double stacked H4 / H8 low pressure vortex (more or less - a land born "cold" hurricane) - sheared through my area, meeting warm, humid air pumped up from the gulf of mexico because of tropical impulse waves (it's hurricane season down there).
The reason why it was so severe - was because while this stuff was going on - it was following up on the tail of a deep cool vectored trough (a mini "jet stream" of sorts).
It was a horrible day! Needless to say - it's always a good idea to check the weather forecast out for the week - before deciding to visit relatives or taking a road trip. I think the area hadn't had a high risk status for tornadoes in DECADES!

I am taking the day to convolesce, relax, and having made it through this nail biting, spine tingling, butt clenching fear fest - consider the fact that after all was said and done, and the danger had passed away - it was honestly a simply pleasure to do the dishes, lol
