Selecting all examples of particular Symbols

Is it possible to select all the examples of a particular symbol in order to change what sheet it appears on?

I have for example hundreds of door symbols I want on a different sheet for some effects. I could select the layer but as this also contains hundreds of other symbols I would have to deselect these one by one.

I could of course select each door - one by one, but I would prefer to keep my sanity.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a quick way to do this.

There are a great many criteria that you can use to select objects. If there are any differences in line style, fill style, color, etc between the objects you want to move and those you don't, you should be able to at least reduce the amount of manual work you need to do considerably.

Being able to select on symbol id would be a great feature though. You might add that to the "What features would you like to see added" thread.

If you've been adding them in a standard way, it's likely that they are on particular layers, so that should speed things up considerably.

Well in general all the doors are on the same layer, but also there are large numbers of torches, windows etc. (Hundreds in fact - it is a very large complex) so I have to zoom in quite close to select just the ones I want at full size all you would see are hundreds of tiny dots.
