How do I proceed?

I am making a map by tracing over a bitmap image. i started by using the PICT command in CC3 to import the image so I could copy it into the picture. Then, I traced the landforms, inserted mountains, rivers, etc...

Now, I am ready to finish the map. I need to delete the bitmap image so all that is left is my map. I tried the EDIT command, but nothing happened. I've tried hiding various sheets of the map, and that doesn't seem to work either. Any ideas?

Use the erase command, then select the image you inserted by selecting one of its edges, then right-click and select Do It (or hit the D-key on the keyboard)

Something I like to do when I trace bitmaps is just hide them in thier own layer. After I insert it I edit its layer to one I create myself. That way if I ever want to use it again they are still in the same posistion and size. When I'm done tracing I just hide that layer and go.

Thanks. I will give that a try. I should have put the picture in a separate layer, but I got ahead of myself.
