Newbie question - exporting with transparency

Hi,
I have a newb question, maybe someone can help me.
I'm trying to export one of the map layers (that contains all the symbols) as a giant PNG image with transparency (I need to overlay it over an existing terrain map in Photoshop). How would I do that?

    AFAIK CC3 cannot use transparency in exported images. They will always have a white background on parts not covered by map entities. You will need to make the background transparent in photoshop after exporting it.

    The other alternative is to just recreate that layer in photoshop. Most newer CC3 symbols are in png format (with transparency), and can be used directly inside photoshop. This might give a nicer end result compared to the above option.
